The island of Oahu is a dream for foodies. From luaus and fine dining to food trucks and farmers’ markets, you’ll have no trouble eating your way around this island. But the options can be overwhelming. So how do you decide what food trucks are worth your time, where to find the most delicious Mai Tai, and what restaurant reservations to make in advance?
That’s exactly why I created this page.
Bookmark it while you’re planning your Oahu vacation, refer to it often, and you’ll never go hungry! Full disclosure, the diligent research involved in writing all of these posts was absolutely delicious.
Best Oahu Luaus
I have been to a LOT of luaus. Every time we have visitors, we take them to a luau. And you know what? They’re all pretty great. The music, the dancing, the food…what’s not to love? If this is your first trip to Hawaii, I highly recommend booking a luau. It’s a terrific overview of Hawaiian culture and food. Here are a few of my favorite luaus on Oahu.
Note: The Hale Koa luau is for active duty and retired military only.
