Located Oahu's windward side, this trail offers breathtaking views of the Mokulua Islands and the Pacific Ocean.

Also known as the Ka’iwa Ridge Trail, it was once a World War II military observation post. Today, the concrete pillboxes provide a blend of history & beauty.

Open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM, it's 1.8-miles roundtrip with a 600ft elevation gain. Plan 1 to 1.5 hours to complete the hike and soak in the views.

Arrive early to find limited free street parking and avoid the midday heat. Bring Water, sunscreen, a hat and sturdy footwear. The trailhead looks like this.

Once you reach the top, explore the 2 pillboxes and take in the stunning vistas of Lanikai Beach and the twin Mokulua Islands. It's a reward well worth the climb.
